“It’s all about the song, the energy of the performance, the way the vocal connects with the listener. If your production or mix doesn’t serve that, then you’re missing the point,” exclaims Brian of RxBx music. “Esoteric gear and slick production tricks are fine, but you have to stay focused on the big picture and keep your eye on the prize, creating a song that resonates with the listener and makes you feel something.
